More Typical May Weather Starting Next Week?
8:45 AM CDT | May 6, 2025 - Are we going to see a more typical May weather pattern next week? One of the most popular weather graphics circulating on social media these days is the accumated supercell parameter. It is taken from one long-range weather model. While it is a decent model, it is simply one opinion so to speak. The following graphics are valid May 12-18th and May 19-25th.
Now, how does this align with the recurring weather pattern? Let's take a look at it...
Since every other cycle usually mirrors each other more closely, I'm going to jump two cycles back which dates back to late February. The first window where will see an uptick in Severe Weather should be May 15-17th... The second window should be May 23-25th with another one following 4 or 5 days later. This method has been proven to be quite accurate. My conclusion is that we will indeed see a more typical May weather pattern return next week with several windows for Severe Weather between the middle of next week and the end of the month.
